If you have found my website, chances are you or someone you care about is going through a very challenging time.  It may be a time of turmoil, conflict and pain.  Psychotherapy involves attending to the concerns one has or issues one is facing in their life.  Treatment also involves taking into account, not just the issue itself, but helping one to identify ways of dealing with and overcoming obstacles that may seem insurmountable.

I am here to help, and have worked with many people going through tough times, who have worried that things will not get better.  I know that they can.  Struggle and conflict, while frightening and painful, can be a hallmark of change that can lead to a person getting their life on the right track and heading in a smoother, more successful direction.

In addition to establishing a positive, empathic, and collaborative working relationship with persons seeking treatment, I use a variety of techniques from different psychotherapy approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic psychotherapies, to help people work through their struggles.

When you meet with me as your therapist, I will listen attentively to anything that you need to share with me.  In that way, we can begin to understand the concerns you have that are unique and important to you.  Over time, we will come to understand better the issue(s) you are facing and what is most important to you.  Together, we will recognize how it came to be, and develop a plan to resolve the issue(s).  In this way, you will be able to move forward with knowledge and power to feel better and become more effective in your life.
